GIS in the Classroom

'Graphic Information Systems' is used by teachers to help their students with their geographical and critical thinking skills. GIS is a computer program for urban planning, weather reporting and geological and demographic studies. I found this NASA 'view of earth' digital image and superimposed it onto a map with an elevated angle. Combining these images this way invokes a feeling of the ethereal nature of GIS technology. Created in Photoshop.
