A senior staff designer at Houghton Mifflin, Little Brown, and D.C. Heath,
Judy Arisman founded Arisman Design Studio in 1991 to pursue a
wider
spectrum of design challenges.
Judy’s work is marked by a strong intelligence and intuition.
She
brings to each project her singular artistic talent honed in the
graphic design
and fine arts world. As a result, her designs are elegant and unexpected,
mixing modern and classical elements for a fresh, compelling look
with a clear
narrative message.
With a painter’s eye and a passion for Photoshop,
Judy creates
designs that inspire, engage, and endure.
Twice juried for the New England Book Show hosted by Bookbuilders of Boston.
Along with her design profession, Judy has a passion for animals and their welfare. She
has been a volunteer for 4 years at Cape Ann Animal Aid, a no-kill shelter in Gloucester, MA.
